Wednesday 3rd October 7.30pm @ Hetties Cafe & Bistro, Skipton
Cello: Douglas Badger
Piano: Matthew Kam
Following the success of last season's events, Skipton Building Society Camerata and Hetties Bistro are collaborating again on a new series of Café Culture Concerts. Café Culture is a series of four chamber concerts with dinner and a talk. This year the series will explore the work of Claude Debussy, one of music's most innovative composers, in this the centenary of his death.
This concert will look at two of the major works in the cello repertoire; Debussy's D minor sonata and Brahms' majestic F minor work, performed by the Camerata's principle cellist Doug Badger and his long time collaborator, the pianist Matthew Kam.
For each event guests will receive a glass of prosecco on arrival before listening to an illustrated talk on the evening's music. Following a starter, served at your table, the first of the evening's work will be performed before the main course is served. The night will conclude with the performance of the final work.
