Marianne Rawles

Originally from Glasgow, Marianne studied at the RNCM, where she was a recipient of the Sidney Fell Clarinet Prize. She now works as a freelance clarinettist, working with orchestras including the Hallé, BBC Philharmonic, Manchester Camerata, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, City of Birmingham Symphony and BBC Symphony Orchestras. A keen chamber musician, she is a member of the Fell Clarinet Quartet, with whom she has recorded two CDs for Delphian records.

Away from music, Marianne enjoys running, walking in the countryside, and eating and drinking too much with her friends,. With her partner Matt (SBSC's Principal Horn), she is the proud owner of a beautiful cocker spaniel puppy!
