To mark the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War, this year’s Remembrance Concert is devoted to music by some of the greatest English composers of the 20th Century.
Following on from the success of last year’s sell-out performance of Fauré’s Requiem, Skipton Camerata and its energetic artistic director Ben Crick will give a concert of music by Elgar, Britten, Finzi and Vaughan Williams.
The programme will also include the first performance of Thomas Lydon’s Lest We Forget, a new concerto for euphonium played by Philippe Schwartz from the world-renowned Grimethorpe Colliery Band.
